Ivalo Taxi — frequently asked questions

Taxis in Ivalo are pre-booked. Send a booking request, call +358 400 990 664 or send a message on WhatsApp. Tell us the pickup address, destination, date, time and number of passengers. Ivalo Airport and long-distance transfers can also be booked online.

The easiest way is to book online: choose "Ivalo Airport Transfer", select your date and pay securely. You can also send a booking request or contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +358 400 990 664. Please include your flight number and accommodation name.

Yes. Every transfer we drive is private: the vehicle is reserved for your group and is not shared with other passengers. Pre-book it online or with a booking request, and your driver meets you at the airport.

Book online is for products in our FareHarbor shop — you choose a date, pay and get an instant confirmation. A booking request is for everything else: local rides in Ivalo, routes such as Ivalo–Inari, custom routes, large groups, corporate transportation or special requirements. We reply and confirm the details and price.

As early as you know your flight times, especially for December to March. Vehicle availability can be limited at Christmas, New Year and during the main winter season. Short transfers can be booked up to 24 hours before pick-up time; for anything sooner, call or WhatsApp us and we will help if a vehicle is available.

A private transfer between Ivalo Airport and Saariselkä costs 85 € for 1–3 passengers, 90 € for 4–5, 95 € for 6–7 and 100 € for 8 passengers. The price is per vehicle, one way, with no booking fee. See the full price list.

Saariselkä is approximately 25–30 kilometres from Ivalo Airport. The drive normally takes around 25–30 minutes, depending on weather and road conditions.

The Ivalo Airport–Inari transfer does not have a published fixed price yet. Send a booking request with your flight, date and number of passengers and we confirm the price before you travel. For reference, the published Saariselkä–Inari price is 185 € for 1–3 passengers. See Inari transfers.

Ivalo Airport to Kakslauttanen East costs 110 € and to Kakslauttanen West 120 € for 1–3 passengers, per vehicle, one way. Prices for 4–8 passengers are on the Kakslauttanen page. These transfers can be booked online.

Ivalo Airport to Kiilopää costs 120 € for 1–3 passengers, 130 € for 4–5, 145 € for 6–7 and 150 € for 8, per vehicle, one way. See Kiilopää transfers.

Your driver meets you at the agreed meeting point at Ivalo Airport. With meet & greet (+10 €) the driver waits inside the arrival hall with a name sign and helps with your luggage.

When we have your flight number we follow your arrival. Meet & greet includes a 60-minute buffer for delayed flights. For longer delays or other changes, contact us on +358 400 990 664 by phone or WhatsApp and we agree on the next steps.

Transfer prices are per vehicle, not per person. The price depends on the route and the group size: 1–3, 4–5, 6–7 or 8 passengers. Only the public Northern Lights tour is priced per person.

The published price between Ivalo centre and Saariselkä is 95 € for 1–3 passengers, 105 € for 4–5, 110 € for 6–7 and 115 € for 8, per vehicle, one way.

Yes. Fixed prices are published for Saariselkä–Rovaniemi, Saariselkä–Levi and Saariselkä–Kirkenes (from 650 € for 1–3 passengers). Transfers from Ivalo to Utsjoki, Rovaniemi, Levi, Kirkenes and other destinations are quoted on request. See long-distance transfers.

Yes. International transfers should be booked in advance, and passengers must carry valid travel documents for the border crossing.

Yes. We pick you up directly at your hotel, holiday apartment, cabin or resort in our service area. Give us the exact accommodation name or address and, for cabins, any directions or a map pin — some cabin areas are hard to find in the dark.

One vehicle takes up to 8 passengers, so most families and groups travel together. For groups of more than 8, send a booking request with the number of passengers and amount of luggage, and we will check what we can arrange with several vehicles.

Yes, child seats can be requested in the booking request — tell us the number and age of the children. The number of child seats is limited, so please request them in advance and wait for our confirmation.

Yes. Prices include one normal suitcase and one hand bag or roller per person. Tell us about extra or oversized luggage, skis and sports equipment in advance; we can add a luggage trailer (+50 € on airport transfers, +100 € on long-distance transfers).

Yes. All our transfers are private: the vehicle is reserved for your booking and not shared with other passengers.

Yes. The 3-hour public aurora hunting tour costs 128 € per person (children under 12 −50 %), and private tours start at 600 € for 1–3 persons. See Northern Lights tours and book online.

Public tours pick up in Saariselkä, Kakslauttanen, Laanila and Kiilopää. Private tours can also start from Ivalo — including accommodation near Ivalo Airport — and Inari. Please confirm your pickup address when you book.

No. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. We use forecasts, cloud maps and local knowledge to give you the best possible chance, and drive to look for clear skies when it is cloudy.

Online bookings are paid securely by card in our FareHarbor shop. For payment options on other bookings, please contact us for confirmation.

No. There is no booking fee — the published price is what you pay for the transfer, plus any extras you choose, such as meet & greet or a luggage trailer.
